two early birthday presents, and how they rock

So. First of all. I am sending this from my new laptop, with its rockin' wireless connection to the public library. How nice! Now I will be spending even more time at the PL, and can even do work here, and it's all thanks to mrpet. I also bought myself a bright pink laptop cover from Motley, because I could. Now I can be less bitter about my student not showing up (for the second time this week).

Second of all, yesterday I received from woodwardiocom Firefly, the complete series on DVD. What an awesome present. I have wanted it for a long time but would never have gotten it myself. Also, its arrival when starkeymonster and I were wanting to zone out in front of the teevee but couldn't find anything to watch made us wonder if woodwardiocom has special powers.

Now, I have to quite Explorer for a minute so I can install Firefox on the laptop. More postings to come shortly....
