Grrrr.

So, having missed the first two pre-screenings of Serenity, I have had cantstopthesignal.com open on my computer all week, refreshing daily. And I joined the Browncoats forum and have been logging in every day, searching for signs of a Boston show. Fandango? Yup, I was checking there too.

And yes, a June 23rd showing was announced. And it did not show up on the message board or the website until now, when it is sold out.

I hate you all. All you puny websites that are supposed to be helpful. Grouch grouch.

This is only slightly mitigated by my new knowledge that [livejournal.com profile] mrpet and [livejournal.com profile] michellemybell and I are actually going to be leaving for Gaian Mind the morning of the 23rd. I would have found a way DAMMIT!!!

If any of you are going to see it for the second time, I passionately don't want to hear about it.
Grr!

If it helps, the LA preview was sold out before the tickets officially went on sale. I won't be seeing it until opening weekend, apparently.

Last time there was a Serenity screening in Philadelphia and Washington, DC, there were tickets being offered on the respective Craig's List about a week in advance.

I'm sorry.

I am not seeing it, therefore I comment.

(Serenity is just not my thing. I can't stand the captain. I hope we can still be friends. ;))

If I find a person who has extra, I'll try to snag one for you.

It does help, actually.
At this point, I'm just going to wait for it to actually come out. I've torn my hair enough.

Thanks, mystery person. Good to know.

What, you don't like Captain Tightpants? *grin*

Not to worry. I dislike television enough in general that it would be silly to be a fanatic about the bits I enjoy.

Hee! Honestly, I tend not to notice such things on guys... or on TV in general. I'm not a very visual person in that regard. (My visualization skills are very good, but my physical eyes often skip over details...)

I feel your pain. Three times I missed 'em too.

I think we should go together opening night and shun everyone who has seen it already :-)

Would it also help to know that after it opens, the image quality, editing, effects, and continuity will all be a lot better than the print that is showing at the preview screenings? Seriously.

Fandango seems to be incompetently run. There are consistent reports of problems from people trying to get tickets through them.
