Fired Up by Jayne Ann Krentz
Mar. 15th, 2010 03:13 pmTitle: Fired Up
Author: Jayne Ann Krentz
Series: Dreamlight Trilogy #1 (the trilogy is part of the Arcane Society series)
Genre: Romantic modern fantasy.
Setting: West Coast of the US, modern day.
Reason for Reading: I really enjoy Krentz's fiction, especially the Arcane Society books.
Finished In: Days.
Pages: 344, plus a sneak preview from the next book
Copyright Date: 2009
Cover: A naked man is being attacked by a gauzy curtain in the moonlight. But wait! By the look on his face... he's actually kind of into it.
First line: "I shall not long survive, but I will have my revenge, if not in this generation, then in some future time and place."
Best part: These books are fast fun reads.
Worst part: I'm finding it hard to believe that so many different high-powered psychic families have stayed out of the control of the Arcane Society.
Imaginary Theme Song: "After All" by Peter Cetera and Cher, or something else a little cheesy.
Grade: C. The series is starting to go down in quality a bit.
Recommended for: Fans of the series. It wouldn't be a good starting place.
Related Reads: Second Sight under Krentz's pen name Amanda Quick.
