Title: The Armageddon Inheritance
Author: David Weber
Series: Dahak #2
Genre: Space opera.
Setting: Earth and other planets, towards the end of the twentieth century.
Reason for Reading: Sometimes you don't want to read a GOOD book, okay?
Finished In: Months, due to misplacing the book.
Pages: 344
Copyright Date: 1993
Cover: Some lumpy-looking spaceships flying over a planet covered in what seems to be a literal interpretation of the concept "energy grid."
First line: "The sensor array was the size of a very large asteroid or a very small moon, and it had orbited the G6 star for a very, very long time, yet it was not remarkable to look upon." (Very very?)
Best part: A fluffy diversion.
Worst part: As with its prequel, Mutineer's Moon, the plot was pretty laughable in places.
Imaginary Theme Song: "Turn the Page" - a little cheesy, a little old-fashioned.
Grade: C
Recommended for: This would be a good book to buy used when you are traveling and need something you can read on the beach and then leave in your cabin, never thinking of it again.
Related Reads: The prequel, Mutineer's Moon. Path of the Fury by the same author. Lee and Miller's The Tomorrow Log has a similar tone, with a small group of people doing the impossible.
