Reminds me of an incident when I was about 14. I was making tuna salad and tapping the mayo spoon on the the side of the bowl when a dollop of mayo flew up into my eye. Everything went white and I was certainly I had been instantly blinded.

Frighteningly enough, I have gotten toothpaste in my eye too. I recommend against it as well.
