So - I have been invited to a bris, by the parents whose birth I have just attended.

I have never been to one before. Yes, I do know what happens. :) Could someone please tell me, though, if a gift would be appropriate, and if so, what kind?

Thanks!

Gifts are definitely appropriate, everyone usually brings one. You could do a stuffed animal for the baby, a lovely picture frame, basically anything you would normally bring to a baby-shower. :) And Mazel Tov to the new parents!

I'd vote for a good read-aloud book, or some baby-friendly music, either of which is a very appropriate gift for a bris. I rarely see stuffed animals, or other things which are quite that frivolous. Savings bonds are probably the most traditional ::grin::, but I doubt you want to go there.

I'll bite. [groan]

Skinless weiners hot dogs? Kosher, of course.

How about a carved ham?
