What language don't you know, but would most like to learn?

Practically, I would like to learn Spanish. So many people in this country speak it, and it would be useful for my job.

Impractically, I'd like to learn Portugese. Because then I could understand the lyrics of bossa nova that's not sung in English, and I think it would give me a deeper appreciation of the music.

Ever Work in Lowell?

A friend of mine did one of her residencies at a hospital in Lowell where she helped in the maternity ward. She had to learn how to talk mother's through delivery in Portuguese because there were so many Portuguese women there.

Portuguese is also more spoken in Somerville than Spanish is! So locally, it might help you more.

I agree. I took three years of Spanish in high school so I can at least communicate a little.
