I voted! Yay!

It was two weeks ago. Pinkdomme and I stood in line for 3 hours in 2004 and I didn't want that to happen again. So yay for in-person absentee voting!

i voted, hell yeah!

Thank you for doing your part!

You were wise. I was in line for an hour and a half. That is the most I have ever had to wait to vote.

My partner and roommate and I got up early and went to the polls right before they opened. We didn't wait that long; the line was down the block when we left.

Thank you for participating in the democratic process. :) You get special points from me what with the whole "being in Sweden" thing.

I got to my precinct just after 7 a.m. and there was a long line already! It took 25 minutes.

Then between jobs I took my friend [livejournal.com profile] 43duckies to vote and saw a VERY misleading poster that read "Save the dogs" "Vote No on 3" and in smaller letters in the middle of the poster, "& our jobs." >:(
That was clearly designed to mislead and I was so irked that I took my progrehoun "Yes on 3" flier and taped it up next to that sign. Let the voters decide!

Currently, Obama is ahead. I am hopeful...

Thank you for continuing America's experiment in democracy. Thank you for acting instead of just complaining.

I am doing a liveblogging thing on the election that may interest you:

Thank you for making a difference. One person really matters! And it is especially admirable that you went even though you're sick.
