The End of the Alphabet by CS Anderson
Feb. 2nd, 2008 04:49 pmI believe I read about this book on the booksense website, though I'm not positive. It's a small, short book about a man named Ambrose Zephyr who takes a trip around the world with his wife, Zipper, after they find out he has one month to live.
I found the idea of this book really endearing but feel the execution fell flat. It's hard to say why. It seemed a little rushed, and the lack of quotation marks for the dialogue confused and annoyed me. The time jumped around, as well. Some of the content was sweet, and the author has a way with details (clothes, food, characters). But I still can't say I really liked it or that I'm happy I read it. Two stars, two stars only.
