snugglekittyHere, I review sex lubes that I know - all latex-safe and glycerin-free.
I'm trying this out as a public post, because I think everyone could benefit from a lube review. It's behind a cut in case you disagree. Be nice and respectful and you may see more of these.
Sensua Organics Unflavored - This is my favorite, hands down as it were, but I've had a hard time finding it recently. It's thin but very slippery, great for masturbation and "just a little sex." It's all natural and glycerin free, with ingredients like aloe and grapeseed oil. It smells and tastes mildly herbal, but in a nice way.
Slippery Stuff Gel - This is my other favorite lube, for anal sex and more vigorous or long-lasting encounters. It's thick, lasts a while and isn't stringy. It has a neutral flavor.
Hydra Smooth - Comes in a tube, which is nice for travel as it is less likely to leak. A relatively thin lube.
Probe - One of the "house lubes" at Good Vibrations, it's described as being similar to Slippery Stuff. It has a good texture. But beware, beware, the strings of March! Seriously, you will not BELIEVE how stringy this lube is, and it will get all over you, your bed, and your sweetie.
Wet Naturals - This is another attempt in my ongoing quest to find a glycerin-free drugstore lube that doesn't suck. It is glycerin and paraben free and does not taste terrible. It has an odd artificial smell, though, like a fake fruit flavor. It's on the thin side and seems okay, but I have not yet subjected it to extensive testing.
ID - A thick gel lube. Stringy and long-lasting. Good for anal play. This isn't my favorite because it can get a little sticky - also, it tastes terrible.
Pink - Comes in a really pretty glass jar! Unfortunately, it's extremely thin and unhelpful. It also tastes terrible.

Date: 2007-11-16 03:17 am (UTC)I'm thrilled to see your review of Slippery Stuff Gel. It sounds like it will be a good replacement for Probe. I REALLY LIKE original formula Probe - good for anal sex, good for fisting, good for big toys that might not otherwise fit (heh heh). However, as you note...SOOO STRINGYYYYYYY. Ugh, and like you said, it gets on everything.
I'll have to buy some, like, oh, right now! :)
I also agree with your review of sensua organics! I love that stuff! It's just a nice sweet little easygoing lube. Plus my cunt loves it.
