date change for clothing swap

Due to some logistical problems, we are changing the date of our clothing swap from 4/10 to 4/17. All other details remain the same.



Spring is the traditional time to clean out your closet. In honor of this tradition, we now announce a CLOTHING SWAP!

Any article of clothing in good condition is fine to bring, but this clothing swap will focus on freaky, hip, and fabulous clothes. The kind you don't want to give to Goodwill because you know no one would appreciate them. Think velour, vinyl, corduroy, fake fur, knee socks, glitter jeans. Bring outerwear, innerwear, gently used lingerie. Froggable sweaters! Kickass boots that stretched! Spiffy accessories that were never claimed from your post-party lost and found!

Please bring at least a shopping-bag worth of articles to swop. Please do not bring more than a car trunk worth - pick out the best stuff!

We will be hosting a clothing swap at syn on Sunday, April 10th from three PM until we get bored. At the conclusion of this, whatever is left over will be donated to one or more local clothing charities, depending on how much there is.

If you do not know how to get to our place, drop me an email. If you do not know US, perhaps another time, or you can look for mrpet at Diesel and introduce yourself.

Q: I'm a big girl. Will there be big girl clothing coming in?
A: Yup! (Not sure about big boy clothing, but drop me a line if this describes you.)

Q: I want to take things from the clothing swap to mutilate and use in other projects. Is that okay?
A: Yes.

Q: Will there be nakedness?
A: Probably, while people are trying things on. But no sex.

Q: Do you need any help from your guests?
A: It would be awesome to have one or two volunteers with cars to do the charity drop-off after the swap.

I was thinking about comeing to this, as I'm weeding through clothes for the move and the like, but hadn't RSVPed yet. Sadly, I'll be In Pennsilvania for the new date. However, would it be ok if I dropped off some nifty clothes I no longer want before running out of town? I mean, I was gonna just give them to good will anyways. I know I'm giveing away a shiny green skirt that I lost the pull cord to that never really fit right anyways, amongst other things.
