Sweet and Deadly was Charlaine Harris' first mystery. It doesn't have vampires or ghosts, it's just a mystery taking place in a small Southern town. I'd like to point out, here, that even as the author's first, it still beat the hell out of that Mrs. Murphy book I read a little while back. It was engrossing, fun, and fast to read. I give it three stars. Enjoying it, along with her first Harper Connelly book Grave Sight, is making me wonder if I should give her Southern vampire series another try. I just didn't really like the first book that much. Do they get better?

Finder in general was recommended by the author of the Devil's Panties, on her website. Finder: King of the Cats was the only Finder book available through the Minuteman system. It was okay but it didn't make me feel like I must rush out and read all of them, ALL! Two stars.

Currently reading: Spook Country, Introducing Quantum Physics, and Meeting the Shadow.
