schmoop it up
Aug. 17th, 2007 11:25 amBehind the cut, find schmoop about
zzbottom,
teratomarty,
bryghtrose,
mrpet, and me!
From the
altfriday5:
1. Schmoop about a friend, past or present.
Today I am grateful for my friend
zzbottom. He and I have been friends since we were both in Western Mass. He has wonderful calming grounding energy. He will laugh at all of your jokes and cracks plenty of his own. He is devastatingly attractive, especially his eyes and hands. On several occaisions he has spent the night with me, just because I needed someone there, and has always been a perfect gentleman. When we go out to eat together, we alternate treating each other, and if we can't remember whose turn it is, he always volunteers to pay. He also introduced me to my partner,
mrpet. Before I met him, I had no idea that it was possible for me to be close to a guy without sex. He is a wonderful person and I'm really lucky to have him in my life. I wish there were more men like him in this world.
2. Schmoop about a family member.
Today I am grateful for my girlfriend's partner,
teratomarty. I know few people who have as much love and respect for animals as
teratomarty. I know even fewer who spend as much time as he does thinking about what other people want and how to make them comfortable in his presence. I love his laugh. I love his unashamed pursuit of the things he likes best. I love his continual references to potato cannons and beer. I love his voodoo doll art. I love his clean kitchen. I love how rambunctious he is with our playful cat and how incredibly gentle and patient he is with our shy cat. I am so very lucky to share
7j with someone who is kind, ethical, caring, creative, and fun to be around, and thereby, to have found a friend.
3. Schmoop about a room- or housemate, past, present, or fantasy (if you've never had one).
Today I am also grateful for
bryghtrose. She is vivacious and so much fun to be around. I didn't know that I had room in my life for straight vanilla mono types until she came along. She did and still does feel like a kindred spirit. I love her faithful attendance at our Solstice vigils, the bright colors she wears, her independence, and the Irish accent that comes out when she's mad. We don't see each other often, now that she doesn't live with us anymore, but whenever we do, we pick up right where we left off, and she always has a hug for me. I love having friends like
bryghtrose.
4. Schmoop about a lover/boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/whatever-you-call-it, past, present, or fantasy (if you've never had one).
Today I am grateful for my faithful
mrpet. He is so handsome and well-dressed - no wonder I'm not the only girl that loves him! He has an indomitable sense of his own style. He's always willing to plan and execute my crazy schemes. He never complains about me waking him up in the middle of the night if I have bad dreams or can't sleep. He is my favorite Pet Chauffeur, a terrific DJ, talented hand drummer, great clothing designer, and one of the best cooks I've ever met. He holds me when I'm scared, and can make me laugh even when I'm mad. He takes long walks with me because he knows they make me happy, even though they're not his thing. I love the way our relationship has grown over the years. This month is our six-year anniversary, and I'm so happy to be with him and proud he's my partner.
5. Schmoop about yourself.
Today I am grateful for being myself. The best and worst things that have happened to me have never swayed me from that path. I am smart, talented, and determined. I have faith. I do kind things for people I do and don't know. I know who I am, and I let the world see. I am courageous, in the sense of doing things despite my fear. I know what I want to do with my life, and I'm doing it. I can be a catalyst for others to figure out what they want from their lives, too. I can also be a muse. I have the capacity to love lots of people. I've lived through things that would make lots of people throw in the towel and give up on their lives, and kept going. I look great in short skirts. And I'm always willing to talk to people who are new to the poly or BDSM communities.
6. Schmoop about The altfriday5 Questioner. (No, just kidding. Mostly.)
I don't know the questioner.
