snugglekittyThree Bags Full by Leonie Swann caught my attention immediately. Why?
It's a murder mystery starring a flock of sheep as the detectives.
No, you didn't read that wrong. The wonderful shepherd who has cared for them all their lives has been foully murdered. Whodunnit??
My favorite parts were the sheeps' attempts to understand religion, and the way they tried to communicate with human beings once they had solved the case.
This book was first published in Germany, and translated to English recently. I wonder how much better it would be in the original German. Four stars.
