I lived in a house in Adams Morgan in D.C. My roommates and I were 'fooling around' with an Ouji Board when spirits came on the board who had lived there (or on the land). One was a slave woman. The other was the spirit of a dead young woman who had been raped and murdered in the basement. You can't imagine how scared we all were! But, we were gals into wicca, etc., so we held a ritual in the basement on the appropriate night, to exorcise her spirit. It worked, and then we all moved! Very scarey! No more 'fooling around'!
