sharing books
Mar. 30th, 2007 05:45 pmSo, my convenience in using paperbackswap.com increased greatly once I realized that most books weigh under a pound. Media mail for under a pound is $1.59, so I can put two eighty cent stamps on a book and put it in a mailbox. Thus, I no longer have to go to the post office for most PBS deliveries.
I've gotten several books via PBS already - a couple of hard-to-find sci fi titles, as well as a book on synchronicity I've been wanting to read for years. I'm trying to mostly save it for stuff that I can't get through Minuteman, to avoid redundancy.
Also, I remembered
desiringsubject writing that she didn't have enough books to read, and found a way to give her a few of mine. I had already let go of them emotionally, in listing them on the site, so it doesn't matter if they come back, and hopefully she'll enjoy them.
