"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

That's beautiful, and timely. I may have to print it out and post it somewhere prominent.

Thanks for this.

Extremely good. Every year I read a poem or the Declaration of Independence before the meal. I'm going to read this at the table today. Very, very, good.

Thanks Jan. Glad you liked it. I think it speaks to the amazing power of perception to change your reality.

Hey, neat.

I was also looking for something to read at the table before the meal. (I often use a quote of Daphne Rose Kingma's on love,* but felt I wanted something different this year.) Then, when I found it, I liked it so much that I wanted to share it with my family and friends. So I'm glad that it will be read at more than one table today.

*"We thank you now for love, the great, the miraculous gift. For love in the body that comforts, for love in the emotional body that delights and frustrates and instructs, for the love of our sacred circle of friends, for love in the spirit beyond all walls and wounds, bounds and ends. Love, we thank you for love, love that stirs and soothes us, love that gathers us into all joy and delivers us from all brokenness. Love that hears the soundless language, love that imagines and dreams, that can conquer all and willingly surrenders everything. Love that brought us into our lives and love that will carry us home."
