[books] Necklace of Kisses

bryghtrose got an advance copy of the new Weetzie Bat book, Necklace of Kisses. I had been trying to read it slowly. Yesterday, I gave up, and I finished it.

It was a lovely book. It was a grown-up book, but it was definitely in the same spirit as the other WB books. I love FLB's books so much, I love the way she uses language. I also love the way she talks and thinks about clothes.

Additional bonus: in this book, two of the characters are raving about Buffy. That rocked.

I totally recommend this book when it comes out.

You know, if you've already read all the books in print, then move on to the books before they're in print, you're eventually going to run out of those, too. Then you're going to have to start reading the books before the authors conceive them, and that's just going to be darned inconvenient.

It's funny that you should say that right now. It's the only book I've finished in probably the past three weeks. I'm just not reading very much right now.
(I realize that this may make you think it's time to tie me up and tickle me until I tell you where the real Honey is. But it's me, I swear. I've just been making stuff a lot, is all. And *coughmutterwatchingtv*. But more on that later.)
