Last night I was finally given Cozy Crochet by the library. I had been waiting for a few months - the waiting list was huge.
I have just leafed through the book. And I have to say, I'm so excited! Not in a Pointer Sisters way, but in a "yay, patterns I like!!" sort of way.
The book contains a totally adorable crocheted skirt, not to mention a closed-work ribbed hat (which you don't see much with crochet). There's a great shawl made out of glittery Lion's Brand Yarn, and a halter top made out of granny squares. So cute! So hip!
There are also patterns in the book that use non-yarn material, like raffia to make a straw hat, and metal wire to make a flower pendant. This could be really, really fun.
I am totally going to buy this book, so the author gets support for what she's doing. Yay!!
