I think part of the fun of the Undead and... series is watching Betsy Taylor grow up during the course of it and gradually become more responsible and less of a whiny bitch. Which is not to say that she ever turns into a paragon of maturity or anything, just that she does grow, which a lot of series characters don't do much of. Of course, if you're Betsy Taylor, there's nowhere to go but up. :-)
