The Ring of Allaire by Susan Dexter

This is a quick fantasy read. Tristan is the foundling apprentice of a wizard. His world turns upside down when his master dies, and sends him to fulfill his life's work - to find the sleeping princess Allaire, and free the kingdom from the grip of winter. Think that sounds a little cliched? Well, you're right. The story does have a few twists, but it goes more or less the way you would expect it to. It's fine as a way to pass a few hours, but I don't recommend seeking it out. Two and a half stars.
