low-budget, low-tech alternative

My roomate never showed up to take me to rent the steam cleaner to clean my new chair. bbbsg was kind enough to loan me her roomate's dustbuster and some upholstery cleaner. I vacuumed the chair and was not satisfied. I have now covered it in foam-y cleaning stuff. When it's dry, I'm supposed to vacuum it again. Perhaps this will be enough, considering that I'm planning to cover up the upholstery anyhow. We shall see.

Not sleeping makes one cranky and emotional the next day. It's true.
