winter porn

So, a few years ago mrpet started buying me sweaters. Three or four a year.

I love him so much.

Anyhow, I've started to get more into having appropriate winter wear, and mysteriously, I no longer hate the winter so much when I have fingerless gloves with mitten tops, polarfleece hats, polarfleece scarves, and warm socks. Not to mention long underwear and flannel-lined jeans and leather pants.

I think the time is coming when I need a new parka. (I have a parka now. It's a down parka. It makes me look like a blueberry and I've had it since I was sixteen.)



I am lusting after one of
these or one of these. They would not make me look like a blueberry, or in fact, like any kind of fruit or marshmallow. Also, they would not restrict my movement or vision as much as my current parka, which I can't really wear. Sexy! So sexy! With one of those, some warm excercise pants, and maybe winter hiking boots, I'd be good to take my walks throughout the winter. (If we're really going to get into the porn aspect, maybe these pants, the price of which makes me laugh.)



Edit: after I wrote this message, I put on a big, fuzzy sweater. I'm feeling better now.

I need a new winter coat too, but I was thinking of looking at Filene's Basement. Is it still there? I know Filene's is supposed to be leaving Downtown Crossing at some point. Anyway, if you decide you want to shop somewhere in person instead of catalog, maybe we could go together?

Filene's Basement has no realtion to the current incarnation of Filenes that is being closed. It was sold off years ago.

That might be a good idea. I hadn't really thought of trying to get one used or discounted. It could be worth trying, especially since I'm willing to ignore my normal color preferences.

Let me mull it over, and see if I get any offers on my barter request first. :)

There are LL Bean outlets in Freeport and in Portland, if you would like to come up sometime and play with (relatively) inexpensive parkas in person.
