As I'm sure many of you are already aware, socks are my recent knitting obsession. They're fun, interesting, and portable. Here are some recent sock endeavors.
Magic Stripe socks
Here are my sister's socks when they were half done. My cat's tail is an extra in this picture.
socks concluded
Here are the socks three weeks later, done!
Marathon socks on Magic Loop
Here is my third pair of socks, still in progress. I am just about to turn the heel. The orange stitch marker is on the first sock, so I don't forget where to start making changes.
I love doing socks toe up -- makes much more logical sense. I have a pair in that same purple faux fairisle that I made a couple of years ago. Correction, I *had* a pair like that. My son stole them. But at least they're appreciated.
My currently on the needles pair are in a Regia multicolor. Radioactive they are, they'll even show through my Doc Marten's. But they're teh kewl!
Yup, short row toe and heel indeed. I used Wendy's famous toe-up pattern. I've used it so far for all the socks I've done. I love patterns you can adapt!
I have some gorgeous Regia sock yarn in lovely deep blues. Who knows, though - after the next pair I may want a break from socks. Hard to imagine, though...
All the best people knit. And the best knitters knit socks.
I've just finished a mindless k2p2 rib scarf in mohair luxe for a friend and have done almost a quarter of a second one (black, the first was green) for her girlfriend. They will match but not be identical ;)
Have you seen the merino tencel sock yarn? Minds Eye Yarn has it in all sorts of yummy hand-dyed colors. I'm saving mine till I'm off the good drugs -- much to nice to risk messing up.

Well, when you put it that way... :)
No, I haven't seen the merino tencel sock yarn but it sounds VERY sexy. I'll have to go over to Lucy's and check it out. I have a bunch of cotton-tencel that I intend to make this pattern out of. I got stalled on it a few months ago, though, so I took a break. I think tencel is awesome.
