Today, [livejournal.com profile] bbbsg took me to the Registry to get a driver's permit and a liquor ID.
Boy did we have fun. Kinda.

So basically, it took half an hour when it only needed to take five minutes, but the upshot was this:

- I didn't have my glasses with me.
- My Mass ID is no longer valid, because it doesn't have an expiration date
- You can only get one ID at a time
- Once you order an ID you need to wait until it comes to order another one and
- The govt. has some crazy people working for it

So. I ordered a new Massachusetts ID, because I will need one with an expiration date to fly, apparently, and that is a priority since I'm going visiting in early December.

I will need to go back several more times in order to get the rest of the stuff I need. First, a driver's permit, then a liquor ID, in order of priority. If I get the Mass ID this week, then [livejournal.com profile] bbbsg will take me back for the permit. But otherwise, I'm going to need more help.

Helpers get gratitude and they also get fed.
Any volunteers?

I could also use someone to help me frame and put up a bunch of pictures, if anyone is into that.

To buy alcohol.

Since I don't have a driver's license, some places will not take my state id. Apparently a liquor license would solve that problem.

Weird. A state ID card usually takes care of that problem--my friend Dann is 31 and has never had a driver's license either, and I can't recall him having any problems buying liquor using his state ID card (Maryland or MA). Weird that you have that problem. Yuck.

Oh, and I just framed and hung a bunch of pictures in my house. Therefore I am Teh Expert. Well, not really, but we did manage to attach wire to the back of a large picture and then hang it on the wall with hooks. I was impressed with us. I can possibly volunteer my services.
