1. what's your ideal living situation?
I would love to live in a house a little further away from the city. In terms of people,
starkeymonster recently made me very happy by saying she wants to live in a cottage next to the house that
mrpet and I live in. There will definitely be cats. There may or may not be children. We would have a lot of guest rooms and our other lovers would visit frequently.
2. are you active in local politics?
This is a hard question for me to answer. I vote, I try to have done research on ballot questions and candidates before I show up. I wish I were more involved, perhaps by being part of a neighborhood group, but I'm going to need to be in a better place in my life before I can do that - even just normal social interactions can be very challenging right now.
On the other hand, I'm very active in the field of birth, talking to people about my job and why a lot of the standard interventions that many hospitals use for birth are not to the benefit of the mother or baby. It would not be crazytalk to say I'm a birth activist, or agent provocateur in favor of women's empowerment in their birth choices.
3. what was your favorite subject in elementary school?
Reading. I was very sad when Reading became English. :)
4. do you write fiction?
No. Or, mostly not. I write poetry and I journal. I can think of one piece of fiction that I've written in the past ten years, and it wasn't intended for consumption by anyone but my therapist.
5. do you have a totem animal?
Yes. I won't say what it is, but I will say that it is not a dragon, a dolphin, a unicorn, a wolf, or a bear. *grin*
