self-defense yay!

I am starting a women's self-defense class tonight. This is part of the RAD program, through which various police departments and college around the country offer free twelve-hour workshops. They also offer advanced classes using kubatons and pepper spray. It seems like it's going to be very cool. And it's FREE!! (Thanks to tisana for suggesting this program!)

I'm also glad to know there's a local one--I think I may need a refresher course, and perhaps to find out who to talk to about legally owning pepper spray.

More women should take this course.
