ringing in the New Year right

Can anyone suggest a New Year's Eve event in the Boston area?

The ideal event for me would be indoors, not super-noisy, and with less than fifty people there.

Comments are screened in case the thing you suggest is private.

I'm sure you've considered this, but...

At Boston's First Night, there are usually a lot of very quiet events indoors that, while are indeed people-heavy, can be incredibly quiet in a musical and/or film way. Scheduled right, it can be possible to attend back-to-back events in one location or nearby locations that require limited foot travel. Toni and I have seen awesome animated film shorts and listened to beautiful singers/groups of singers.

It's the no-alcohol-encouraged, t-accessible, relatively inexpensive best thing I can find out there for us! :)

I have considered this. What I have mostly heard from people about First Night is: "It was so cold, and we had to stand outside to wait, and the thing we wanted to go to was booked..." which hasn't sounded like much fun. Given your review, though, I am looking into it.
