this just gets better and better

So, you all know I'm an acolyte of paperbackswap.com, right?

Well, I joined its sister site, swapacd.com, a few weeks ago. Basically, it's the same concept, only with CDs. And now I have discovered that you can transfer your credits from one site to another. Damn! Exchanging books for music, and vice versa! How awesome is that?

I originally joined pbs to diminish the number of books I have in my bookcases. Now, if you'll consider this plan, you'll see it has a small flaw. :) But I have found a wonderful way around this flaw, to wit - ordering books for my nearest and dearest. Not only does it meet my goal, but it also gives me the happy sensation of saying, "Here - it's for you!" and presenting them with books on architecture or fashion.

If anyone would like a referral to either site, just let me know and I'll hook you up.

Wow I didn't know there was possibility for credit crossover! That I need to take advantage of.

I have only gotten about 10 PBS books for myself, for others I have ordered tons. Last night I treated a broke and unemployed friend to a 7 book windfall, by slyly quizzing him about what he has read and what genres he likes. Its wonderful being able to do that with no cash expenditure on my part.

I would like a referral, please - this is a brilliant idea.

I love paperback swap and am now signing up for the CD sister site and would like to list you as the person that referred me since I learned about the swapping credits from your LJ. Their help section says that you can still get credit after I sign up if I contact them with your swapacd name and email address. If you email those to me I will happily send them on so you can get more credits to play with on the site. Thanks again for all the book reviews!
